Change of Major into Nursing

A TCU student may change to the nursing major if the student is not on academic warning or probation and has or can reasonably expect to have a 2.5 TCU cumulative GPA by the time the student is ready to enroll in courses limited to the nursing major. It is strongly recommended the change of major be completed at least one semester prior to the first semester of nursing practicum courses.

Permission to enroll in practicum courses is determined by the availability of clinical placement slots in clinical facilities. The student must meet the requirements for graduation based upon the published TCU Bulletin at the time of entry into the major.

All transfer students must file an Application for Admission and all required documents by October 1 for the spring semester and February 1 for the fall semester prior to practicum coursework. The student must meet the requirements for graduation based upon the published TCU Bulletin at the time of entry into the major.
